---- — Austin Preparatory School has announced that Maura Smith of Atkinson and Mackenzie Driscoll of South Hampton, have been named to the Honor Roll for the second quarter.

Florida Institute of Technology has announced Katherine Schea of Kingston has been named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2012 semester.

Broadway Blades, the Colonial Figure Skating Club’s Senior Level Theatre on Ice team, was selected to represent the United States at the 2013 Nations Cup, the World Theatre on Ice Championships April 26-28 in Logrono, Spain. The team, currently in its fourth competitive season, consists of thirty skaters from across New England who qualified to compete at Nations Cup based on placement at the U.S National competition in 2011 and 2012. Local skaters Lily Anderson and Rose Anderson of Atkinson are members of this team.

Berklee College of Music has announced that Kyle Oppenheimer of Kingston has earned placement on the Dean’s List for the fall semester of the 2012 academic year.

Ula D. Lewandowski, a resident of East Hampstead, has recently been named to the Dean’s List at Boston University for the fall semester.

The Community Colleges of New Hampshire Foundation recently awarded $37,500 in PSNH/NASA Space Grant Scholarships. The scholarship program is made possible through a NASA Grant and a generous donation from Public Service of New Hampshire, the State’s largest electric utility. The $1,500 scholarships are available to students in the Community College System of New Hampshire who are pursuing a career in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) field. The following local students received the scholarships: Great Bay Community College, Portsmouth: Vaughan Coder, Exeter; Nashua Community College: Alexander Ranney, Sandown.

Adam Nash, Kingston, was named to the Dean’s List at Villanova University for the fall 2012 semester. Nash is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the College of Engineering.

Maine Maritime Academy recently named students to their Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement in the first semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. Local students honored include Ashley Burnett (2014) of Danville and Daris Kenter (2014) of Kingston. Both students are majoring in Marine Science.

Michael J. Bilynsky of Epping and Zachary J. Gajewski of Danville, have been named to the Dean’s List at Virginia Tech for the fall 2012 semester. Bilynsky is a sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering in the College of Engineering. Gajewski is a sophomore majoring in biological sciences in the College of Science.

Michaela K. Horvath of Nottingham has been named to the fall semester Dean’s list at Radford University. Horvath is a freshman psychology major.

Local residents were recently recognized for achieving academic distinction during the University of Massachusetts Lowell’s fall 2012 semester. Local students named to the Dean’s List are: Olivia Campbell of Newton, majoring in nursing; Charlotte Greenwood of Newton, majoring in business administration; Elizabeth MacNeil of Newton, majoring in civil engineering.

Kingston resident Alyssa Helman was named to the Honors List at Pingree School in South Hamilton, MA for the first semester.

Tomer Oz of Exeter, a Theatre Arts major at Plymouth State University performed the roles of St. Peter, Sigmund Freud, and Soldier #1 in a production of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, March 7-10 at the Silver Center for the Arts.
