On October 21, Kingston Boy Scout Troop #93 of the Yankee Clipper Council, sponsored by Kingston VFW Post 1088, performed an intrepid clean up of the Mill Pond site just behind the former Rick's/Pond View Restaurant on Rte. 125, Kingston. Several loads of garbage were removed from the pond. Kudos go out to the Scouts from the Kingston Conservation Commission who proposed the project, and also from the abutters of Mill Pond and the residents of Kingston, for completing such a fantastic community service project. The Kingston Conservation Commission hopes the efforts of the scouts will remind fishermen, and all who use our lovely ponds and lakes for recreation, to "carry in, carry out!"
