Students on the Rise

Raelene Anderson,10, who lives with her dad Eric Anderson and Therese Augusta in Hampstead, has had 14 inches of hair cut and donated to Locks of Love. In 2009 Raelene went to Precision Haircutters In Hampstead, and donated her first 14 inches of hair to Locks of Love. She is looking forward to donating her hair again and hopes that her hair will make a child with cancer a little happier.

The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Services announces that Adam J. DiPippo has been named to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2012 semester. Adam is the son of Lorenzo and Cindy DiPippo, of Sandown, and is pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy. Adam will graduate in 2014 from the Manchester campus.

Obama for America — New Hampshire launched its statewide Young Granite Staters for Obama Steering Committee, announcing Jassen Lu of East Kingston, as a member.

Phillips Exeter Academy is announces the following students have been named to the Honor Roll for the Spring 2012 semester. Conan S. Sang, grade 12, of Brentwood, son of Mr. Fred Sang and Mrs. Jennifer Fan, earned Highest Honors; Alexander J. Greaney, grade 10, of Kingston, son of Heidi and Kevin Greaney, earned Highest Honors; Hannah E. Keane, grade 10, of Fremont, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas P. Keane, earned High Honors; Peter W. Kinnon, grade 12, of Newton, son of Peter and Angeline Kinnon, earned High Honors; Marc L. Steele, grade 10, of Danville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Steele, earned Honors.

When Cory Surette committed to Daniel Webster College to play soccer, he knew he made the right decision that would impact not only his next four years but his next forty years. With the help of NCSA Athletic Recruiting, Cory was given the opportunity to be proactive in his recruiting process and become educated on the steps he needed to take to achieve his goal of competing in college soccer. Cory had many accomplishments while attending Timberlane Regional High School both academically and athletically, keeping up his grades, and being a Varsity starter and Captain of his team. Cory’s hard work and dedication to the recruiting process paid off as he strived to be a leader in both sports and in his community, and as a result, Cory has been rewarded with the opportunity to play the sport he loves at the next level.

The following local Virginia Tech students were among those honored at the university’s spring commencement: Austin Powers of Raymond, Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering degree magna cum laude in chemical engineering from the College of Engineering; Brian Gendreau of East Kingston, Bachelor of Science degree summa cum laude in mathematics from the College of Science; Tyler Hazekamp of Stratham, Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering degree in industrial and systems engineering from the College of Engineering.
